Investigating Delivery Issues

Delivery Issues provides a failure-first view of traffic that did not successfully enter or load in the platform. It complements workflow metrics: use Delivery Issues when the failure happened before a normal workflow execution trace was established.

Supported issue types

Flow typeUse it to investigate
Webhook Event RequestIncoming webhook requests rejected or failed before normal processing
HTTP Gateway RequestGateway requests that failed while routing to a published endpoint
Workflow LoadFailures while resolving or loading a workflow version for execution

Find an issue

  1. Open Metrics and select Delivery Issues.
  2. Select Development or Production.
  3. Choose a time range and the relevant Flow type.
  4. Sort by timestamp or use pagination to review older failures.
  5. Select a row to open the details drawer.

The table columns change with the selected flow type. For example, webhook issues include request information, while workflow-load issues identify the workspace, application, workflow ID, and version.

Inspect issue details

The drawer shows common timing information and flow-specific identifiers. When available, use:

  • Input to inspect the incoming body and headers;
  • Errors to read the exception message;
  • Copy to copy a payload, header set, or error for support and debugging;
  • the trace visualization to inspect any spans captured before the failure.

Payload and header data may contain sensitive information. Share copied values only through approved support channels.

Triage sequence

  1. Confirm whether the failure is isolated or repeated within the selected time range.
  2. For HTTP and webhook failures, validate the path, method, content type, authentication, and request body.
  3. For workflow-load failures, confirm that the referenced application and workflow version still exist and are deployed in the selected environment.
  4. Open a related trace when one is available.
  5. After correcting the cause, retry the request and confirm that no new issue appears.

If no data appears

  • Verify the environment and time range.
  • Confirm that the request reached the platform instance you are viewing.
  • Check your permission to view metrics for that environment.
  • Use workflow traces instead if the workflow started successfully and failed during an activity.
