Deactivating Applications
You create and configure applications in the Development environment and deploy them in the Production environment. Once an application is deployed and no longer changing, deactivate it so the Applications panel lists only the work in progress. A deactivated application moves from Available to Inactive and cannot be edited until you activate it again.
Deactivating also frees a slot against the workspace limit of 10 active applications.
Deactivating an application in the Development environment does not deactivate it in the Production environment. The deployed application keeps running.
Before you begin
You need the permission to create applications in the workspace. Without it, Manage Applications is unavailable.
Deactivate an application
- Select Manage Applications, the edit icon in the header of the Applications panel. The panel switches to selection mode and lists applications under Available and Inactive, with a selected checkbox against each active application.
- Clear the checkbox next to each application you want to deactivate. To reactivate an application, select its checkbox instead.
- Select Save Changes.
The header shows a running count of selected applications against the limit, such as 3/10 selected, while you are in selection mode. Select Cancel to leave without applying anything.
How you know it worked
The panel returns to its normal view and each deactivated application now appears under Inactive.
When it does not work
| Symptom | Cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Save Changes is unavailable | You have not changed any selection. | Change at least one checkbox, or select Cancel. |
| Something went wrong | The change could not be saved. | Retry. If it persists, confirm you are still signed in and contact your workspace administrator. |
Next steps
