Managing WSDL specifications
Store WSDL service contracts in the Registry when SOAP operations must be reused across applications or workflows. A registered specification retains references to the activities that use it.
Add a WSDL specification
- Open Registry, then select WSDL.
- Select Add WSDL.
- Upload the WSDL file or provide the source requested by Studio.
- Review the parsed services, ports, and operations.
- Enter the specification details and save it.
Create assets from WSDL
From a registered specification, create an application or add workflows to an existing application. Select only the operations the integration needs. Studio creates SOAP-oriented workflow assets and preserves the Registry reference.
To configure an existing compatible activity, open its actions menu, select Configure with WSDL, and choose the service, port, and operation.
Update a specification
- Select the specification in the Registry, then select Update.
- Provide the revised WSDL and review validation results.
- Review each reported workflow or activity impact before accepting the update.
- Repair affected operation, input, output, or endpoint mappings.
- Test and republish affected workflows.
Changing or removing an operation can invalidate linked activities. Coordinate Registry updates with service owners and deployment reviewers.
